    The first half of 2024 has been a whirlwind for marketers, with budget shifts due to major events like elections and sports. Despite the challenges, the UK ad market grew by 9% in Q1, with marketing budgets hitting a decade-high. Looking ahead, Havas Media Network COO Simon Bevan forecasts “cautious optimism” as spending tapers slightly. With consumer confidence at a three-year high, brands are still investing smartly.     We are delighted to share Havas Media Network UK has appointed Emily Fairhead-keen as Group Head of Strategy.   With a twenty-year career spanning London and Sydney, she has built a diverse portfolio of award-winning strategic work across various sectors. She is renowned for her 2015 paper, “The Future of Brands is Superhuman,” and has received numerous accolades, including Campaign UK's ’40 over 40’ winner in 2022.   Emily will lead a 10-person strategy department, helping reimagine the strategy function with diverse thinkers to support HMN UK’s clients’ marketing and digital transformation. She will be instrumental in developing integrated business strategies across the network and provide top-level counsel to brands like BBC, Domino's, Bumble Inc., British Red Cross, and Ocado Retail.
