Help deliver noon meals to older adults and people with limited mobility in the Saint Paul area. Whether you volunteer solo, with a friend or family member, or as part of a work or community group, you can make a difference with just a 1-hour shift from 10:30 am to 11:30 am, either weekly or on an on-call basis. Using your own vehicle, you'll pick up meals from our location and drop them off at community members' homes. Routes include both downtown and non-downtown Saint Paul, and mileage reimbursement is available. Be a part of Amherst H. Thank you to National Grid Renewables for your incredible volunteer efforts during your Annual Retreat, where over a hundred volunteers supported five local nonprofits across the Twin Cities. Yesterday, we wrapped up their last engagements at Mile in My Shoes, where volunteers assisted them in creating a system for organizing in their warehouse and painted walls in their offices. Volunteers also supported Saint Therese at Oxbow Lake in running their "Christmas in July" event by serving beverages and snacks, managing activities, and socializing with senior residents. Your commitment and efforts this week have made a meaningful impact on the community, and we can't thank you enough!

Yesterday, during their 2024 Annual Retreat, National Grid Renewables partnered with the Amherst H. Wilder Foundation and Wilder Children Development Center for their first-ever "Park Day," where volunteers joined in activities with preschoolers. Additionally, they volunteered at two Open Arms of Minnesota locations, packing nearly 3,000 nourishing, medically tailored meals and containerizing over 100 pounds of chicken. Your dedication and hard work are truly inspiring! #volunteerism

HandsOn Twin Cities is thrilled to support National Grid Renewables during their 2024 Annual Retreat. Yesterday, they kicked off their week at Appetite For Change, where volunteers weeded and harvested green beans, carrots, and chamomile at two of their Freedom Farms. Appetite for Change uses food to build health, wealth, and social change in North Minneapolis by bringing people together to learn, cook, eat, and grow food. Thank you, volunteers, for helping them make a difference! We're excited to continue making an impact together throughout the week. #volunteerism

Over the last several weeks, extensive flooding has caused widespread damage across Minnesota. Le Sueur County reports over a hundred homes affected, and other surrounding areas are impacted as well. Volunteers are needed to assist homeowners with mud outs and debris cleanup. There are opportunities for both overnight and day volunteers. While their website states a three-day minimum, spontaneous volunteers can help for at least one shift. Your help can make a big difference for our neighbors. https://lnkd.in/gGjqU6my
