The Creative Therapy (CT) Department would like to announce Unit 5 (Adolescent Unit) as the winner of the Collaboration Cup! In working closely with the CT department, Unit 5’s staff consistently does well with communicating the needs of their patients, engaging with patient families to ensure aftercare and coordination of care while in the hospital, and maintaining structure for our youngest population. Unit 5’s staff is flexible, understanding, and compassionate when it comes to coordinating with our department and providing staff for additional off-unit groups to enhance their patients’ experiences. We thank them for their hard work and express our appreciations by passing on the Collaboration Cup to them!

Our Employee of the Month for June was Leslie Ferry! Leslie does an amazing job as UR for Unit 6. She really is the unsung hero of our treatment team! Leslie gets our patients covered by insurance, making it possible for them to get the care they need. She is truly a miracle worker. Her job is hard and challenging, and she is occasionally handed hard cases that are denied or not covered for our patients who truly need treatment. Leslie never gives up until she gets them covered, filing appeal after appeal. Leslie is hardworking, super knowledgeable and advocates for all her patients. Pictured left to right are Craig Hilton; CEO, Leslie, Aleli (Lee) Mulligan; Director of Utilization Management and Melanie Raffa Mahurter MBA, CFO.

Today, Hampton staff celebrates #Juneteenth to recognize the freedom that came on June 19, 1865, ending slavery in the United States after the Civil War. Today marks the third consecutive year of Juneteenth as a federally recognized U.S. holiday and Hampton staff were happy to be a part of bringing awareness to this important day.
