The future of the collectible car hobby is already here! Hagerty's 2024 "Future of Driving" survey indicates a strong and growing interest in collector cars, trucks and motorcycles among Gen-Z, defined as those born between 1997 and 2012. While nearly half (47%) of the respondents surveyed noted an interest in owning a classic car, Gen Z expressed significantly greater interest at 60%, compared to 31% of Baby Boomers. "The next generation of car enthusiasts is here, creating a vibrant market for us to help enthusiasts protect, buy, sell and enjoy their special vehicles," said McKeel Hagerty, CEO and Chairman of Hagerty. "The data is clear that Gen Z isn't just playing car video games, watching YouTube or creating social media content, they're also finding ways to participate in the collector car community." The Father Fred Foundation's Summer Health Initiative to Nourish Everyone (SHINE) program started in 2023 to ease heightened food insecurity for Traverse City Area Public School (TCAPS) students when school is out of session. The program distributes simple, kid-friendly meals and snacks as well as Family Meal Bags directly from a school bus to students in need. Hagerty volunteers have packed 990 food bags for the program so far and will continue contributing to Father Fred’s goal of 3,110 bags of snacks, fresh fruit, and light meals during our second annual Summer of Service. #hagerty #hagertyCARes #volunteering #givingback #traversecity

A titan of motorsport, the 1997 Porsche 911 GT1 Rennversion, Chassis 993-GT1-108, will headline next month's Broad Arrow Auctions during Monterey Car Week. It is one of just nine customer GT1s originally made and notably, the GT1 is offered directly from long-term private ownership where it has been in the hands of an esteemed Porsche collector for some time. It was never severely damaged or dismantled and today remains in superbly presented condition.
