We're grateful to Philanthropy Massachusetts for featuring us in their nonprofit spotlight to highlight our work making affordable homeownership possible for Greater Boston families with low-to-moderate incomes!

Recently, volunteers from Wayfair and Habitat for Humanity Greater Boston helped build five condos in one of our own communities - Malden, MA! From putting up walls to framing ceilings, volunteers helped construct homes for five families in a neighborhood with great access to public transportation, schools and city services. New homeowners James and Maya shared their excitement to bake in their new kitchen and take long walks in the neighborhood. “We will accomplish something that was previously unattainable for our family,” said James. When it comes to building affordable homes for Greater Boston families, our incredible construction crew gets it done. We wouldn't have this team without AmeriCorps -- six of our construction staff started as Habitat AmeriCorps members, bringing dedication and heart to job sites, learning on-the-job skills from the ground up (literally), and making a difference dozens of people's lives.
