Each toy and treat from our Amazon Wishlist isn't just fun—it's a vital part the enrichment and training for our guide dogs in-training. Big licks of appreciation and wags of thanks to all the kind-hearted shoppers who contributed to this joyous bounty. You’re paw-sitively awesome! 🐾 🦮 ➡️ Let's keep the good vibes going! Check out the remaining items on our Enrichment Wishlist: https://lnkd.in/eEvE_TyG Picture Description: Umberto, a handsome male black Labrador retriever, sits in the hallway at our kennels and smiles happily, as he poses for the photo. At Umberto's feet is a pile of enrichment items, representing just a small amount of the donated items. The enrichment items include (but are not limited to): an oversized blue Jolly Pets (FYF-JB, LLC) toy with a handle, a variety of tough plushes from DogTuff.com (Tuffy), chews from Nylabone, various toy from KONG Company, and dog-safe scented bubbles from Atomic Bubbles. On the wall behind Umberto is a small whiteboard with a handwritten message that reads, "THANK YOU!!". Thank you #teamcvs colleagues for joining me and Guiding Eyes for the Blind future guide dog Marina at today’s puppy kissing booth event at HQ in Woonsocket. It was wonderful to share the journey of a volunteer puppy raiser with y’all and to tell Marina’s story. Marina enjoys her time on campus being an ambassador for GEB Puppy Program. Pictured below #teamcvs colleague Shyley and Marina get ready for a big smooch in a pupoy kissing booth. Marina is a yellow Labrador puppy who aspires to be a guide dog some day.

  • Highlights from our 47th Annual Guiding Eyes for the Blind Golf Outing, held on June 10th at the scenic Mount Kisco Country Club. It was a wonderful day of golf, guide dogs, and giving - Thank you to everyone who made the event a success! ⛳ 🦮 Check out our photo round-up of the event on our blog: https://lnkd.in/ermg7j4T Picture Descriptions: 1. Guide dogs Kenji, a male black and tan German shepherd, and Jessie, a female black Labrador retriever, pose together in harness on the golf course at Mount Kisco Country Club. A golf ball sits at the feet of Jessie, while Kenji rests his head on the green patiently. 2. Eli Manning kneels on the grass and looks down at guide dog Jessie. Jessie, resting in a down position in her leather guide dog harness, looks back up at Eli with a sweet expression, as the two share a calm moment together. 3. A golf participant kneels in the grass in front of the line of green golf carts and poses for a photo with a guide dog on either side – Jessie on her left and Kenji on her right. Out of frame, a staff member takes the photo on a cell phone, while guide dog Donovan, a male yellow lab, watches closely. 4. Donovan, wearing his blue UniFly harness, sits at the side of Mike, Guide Dog Trainer, and carefully watches a golfer tee off. 5. A smiling team of golfers poses with Eli Manning on the green for a group photo. Guide dogs in-training Jessie, Kenji, and Donovan lay at the group’s feet. 6. A smiling attendee poses for a photo while holding Omega, a yellow Labrador retriever puppy wearing a bright pink collar, in his arms during cocktail hour. 7. Renard, a Guiding Eyes graduate, joined us to give a moving speech during the dinner program. Today Guiding Eyes for the Blind future guide dog Marina and I visited CVS HQ to check in on some things for an upcoming event. Marina and I volunteer with the CapAbilities Colleague Resource Group. After our meetings we spent some time engaging with colleagues about guide dogs and the volunteer puppy raising experience. #teamcvs #gebmarina Pictured below future guide dog Marina, a 16 month old yellow lab sits in front of a wall of heart logos representing each of the CVS Colleague Resource Groups.
