Tired of guessing how your competitors' promotions performed. Grips delivers real-time feedback alerting you of critical changes in your competitors' daily sales giving you the ability to take action to defend your market share.

It's been a minute since I've shared some insights, but here are five retailers who have caught my eye in the past week: Funko.com: Is Canada to blame for a spike in online Funko sales? On September 23rd, Funko announced  it would start shipping online orders to fans north of the border. The next day, sales were the highest they’ve been since July 25th when the company released their San Diego Comic Con  bundle. While Funko.com sales were trending up prior to the Canada announcement driven by the launch of Funko Fusion and the FUNniversary sale, all major promos had ended by the 23rd leaving pent up Canadian demand as the most likely culprit. Stanley1913.com: Stanley's recent colab with Barbie has driven a significant increase in online sales, fueled by daily product drops from September 16-20. The Barbie-themed releases boosted sales by 77% compared to the previous four-week average, generating an impressive $3.3 million in total revenue on Stanley1913.com. The momentum continued with the launch of Stanley's Fall Refresh collection on September 24, featuring a "rich neutral" color palette driving sales up 88% above average. FentyBeauty.com: Fenty’s recent “Fam Sale” was a major success, driving record-breaking sales from September 18-24. The seven-day promotional event kicked off with an exclusive 30% discount for insiders on the 18th, followed by a 25% discount for all shoppers from the 19th through the 24th. During the sale, Fentybeauty.com generated an impressive $2.8 million in revenue, marking a 130% increase over the previous four-week average and setting a record for the brand's best week since Black Friday/Cyber Monday. Gymboree.com: Gymboree's Friends & Family sale, which kicked off on September 18th and runs until Sunday, September 29th, has been a strong performer for the children's brand. Offering 50% off "almost everything," the sale saw an immediate 54% increase in sales on launch day compared to the previous four-week average. Sales have remained consistently strong, with the first full week showing a 45% lift in revenue. Even in the final days of the promotion, Gymboree’s sales continue to trigger Grips anomaly alert. SweatyBetty.com: Sweaty Beauty’s recent sale, which launched on September 16th with discounts of up to 60% off, saw an impressive spike in sales. From the 16th to the 22nd, sales surged to $3 million, representing a 155% increase compared to the previous four-week average. Just as the momentum from the initial discount began to wane, Sweaty Beauty increased the offer to 70% off on September 23rd, which immediately reignited interest. Sales on Monday the 23rd jumped 19% higher than those on the previous Monday, when the 60% promotion began. Let me know if there are retailers you'd like me to look into in next week's summary.

Tupperware, blamed for lacking a digital-first strategy, posts best single day of online sales after filing for bankruptcy. Ironic? Specifically, sales on September 18th, surpassed Cyber Monday sales by 60% and combined sales on the 18th and 19th were fully 3 times higher than they were during the previous four weeks. Grips helps clients navigate their digital transformation by giving them reliable intel into what is achievable based on industry benchmarks and identifying top performers and North Star brands.
