☀️ What’s going well, GBSD? ☀️ Superintendent James Hiu, Deputy Superintendent John Koch, and Executive Director of Human Resources Dr. Angela Freeman recognized the outstanding contributions of 14 science teachers across the district: Eric Moffat, Neal Bridgnell, Marianna Toptchian, Shirley Tremel, Elizabeth Bryan, Cyrus Harshfield, Jane Rice, Inge Van Der Salm, Mark Kim, Kacie Bund, Alyssa Bozikovich, Carol Krueger, Jeff Gehrig, and Tara Devila. ✨🧪🔬🚀 Thanks to their efforts, the middle school and high school science curriculum pilots progressed wonderfully! These dedicated educators took the time to dig into materials and collaborate to determine the best resources for our students. Alumni Spotlight: Meet Magi Sexton, a proud graduate of Sam Barlow High School (SBHS), class of 2019! Thanks to her SBHS and Center for Advanced Learning (CAL) instructors, she was well-prepared for college and career. What’s going well, GBSD? ☀️ Assistant Superintendent Tracy Klinger honored Springwater Trail High School pe/health teacher Lori Bennis! She was nominated for her innovative approach to student engagement. Lori offers "4-Square Volleyball," an activity that students eagerly participate in by earning a "golden ticket" from their teachers. This initiative not only motivates students to stay on top of their assignments but also fosters a positive school community.
