About us
With a mission focused on empowering communities and environmental conservation through STEM education, Green Our Planet seamlessly integrates nature, technology, and education to create transformative experiences through school gardens and hydroponics. Research shows students from PreK to 12th grade engage more deeply and retain more information through practical, hands-on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) learning. Green Our Planet’s programs equip dedicated teachers with the knowledge and infrastructure needed to guide students in exploring science, nutrition, conservation, financial literacy, nature, and more through hands-on lessons in outdoor garden spaces and indoor hydroponics laboratories. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit conservation organization, Green Our Planet operates the largest and one of the most comprehensive standards-aligned school garden programs in the United States.

Connecting and collaborating with Babylon Micro-Farms during their reception was truly inspiring. We are excited about the future and look forward to our partnership with Babylon and the greater Richmond, Virginia area!🌱 Tami Lemire #Hydroponics #Education #STEMeducation #CommunityEmpowerment
Last week, Babylon-Micro Farms held a reception with Green Our Planet and Greater Richmond Fit4Kids to bring local communities together to place a focus on student nutrition while launching a new student-run farmers market initiative with Green Our Planet! 🌎We are thrilled to have had an amazing keynote speech from Green Our Planet’s VP of partnerships and impact, Tami L. Tami left us feeling inspired and excited for the future, fueling our passion to make a meaningful impact through our collaborative efforts. We also introduced our newest product, the STEM Garden, to the public! 👩🔬 Designed for K-12, the STEM Garden is a versatile, manual unit suitable for various educational settings. Babylon is stoked to collaborate with curriculum parents to launch the STEM Garden, aiming for it to become a staple learning tool within classrooms.🌱Lastly, a huge thank you to RVA’s Kitchenette for creating wonderful hors d’oeuvres featuring Babylon-grown Basil and Microgreens - they were such a hit. We are grateful for everyone’s support and look forward to seeing the positive impact of these initiates on our communities! #Babylonmicrofarms #greenourplanet #fit4kids #RVAKitchenette #agtech #STEMgarden

We can't wait to join STEMbotics Learning Center and campers for some science fun!🌱
What are the ENERGY sources required for growing and harvesting food in traditional soil vs hydroponically? How can we use #sustainableenergy in either process of growing food? Our campers will be investigating the answers to these questions through an amazing hydroponics session hosted by Green Our Planet!! We are so excited for another amazing summer in bots and plants! 🤖⚡️🌱
