Our partners at the Hinds County Economic Development Authority and Visit Jackson are celebrating National Economic Development Week in a big way! Each day this week, they are hosting free community events that highlight the organizations, programs, and individuals that positively impact the City of Jackson and Hinds County. Today’s programming included an economic development 101 lunch and learn. Attendees heard a fantastic panel discussion on how we measure success and the steps we must take to achieve our goals. The Greater Jackson Alliance is grateful for the opportunity to collaborate each day with such wonderful partners that work to help strengthen our capital city and its surrounding areas! #EconDevWeek

It’s been a great few days at the Industrial Asset Management Council (IAMC) conference in Greenville, SC. A highlight was getting to hear Amazon Web Services (AWS), VisionFirst Advisors, and our partners at Entergy speak on the factors that led to the historic 1,000 job, $10 billion investment project in Madison County. They discussed how each team the company worked with in Mississippi truly listened to their needs and was able to come up with creative solutions to help increase project speed and decrease risk. Constant, common alignment of goals is the recipe for success. Madison County Economic Development Authority Mississippi Development Authority
