We were thrilled to welcome a new flight from Mexico City on Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU)'s new airline, Aeromexico, this afternoon! Mexico City is RDU’s 10th international destination, joining Cancun, Frankfurt, Freeport, London, Montreal, Panama City, Paris, Reykjavik and Toronto—the most international destinations RDU has ever served. We're proud to have such an incredible airport in our destination! Recently announced, RDU was the fastest-growing Top-50 airport in the country in 2023 and also broke its previous record for passenger traffic in 2023 ✈

It's June, and it feels like summer is off and running, which means it is Pride Month; hospitality partners around Raleigh and Wake County can celebrate in many ways, thanks to the multitude of Pride events happening. For partners looking to actively welcome LGBTQ travelers to the area, GRCVB offers various resources they can utilize.

Raleigh, Cary and Wake County are gearing up to host an impressive month of professional, college and amateur sports! In total, these upcoming events will draw an estimated 28,000 attendees and are expected to generate more than 30,000 hotel room-nights and an estimated $25 million in economic impact for the area.
