At Grange, we recognize the importance of celebrating the differences that make our associates unique in the workplace and in our communities. This month, associates were excited to support the LGBTQ community at a PRIDE brunch and the Stonewall Columbus PRIDE festival and march. Check out some of the highlights below.

Our summer interns are officially hard at work! This month we began our Internship Development Program. During the kick-off event, interns heard from Carrie Maun-Smith, AVP, DEI & Community Relations, and Grange Enterprise President & CEO John Ammendola. We have 16 interns across the company who will be working on a capstone project through August. We’re excited to have them on board!

Today marks the 1865 enforcement of the Emancipation Proclamation. In honor of the holiday, Grange sponsored an event at the Grange Insurance Audubon Center over the weekend where author Dudley Edmonson spoke about the importance of people of color exploring nature and the wilderness. Juneteenth allows us to reflect and rejoice while considering how to further improve access, opportunity and equity.
