While many of the practical applications of quantum computing will be achieved years, if not decades, in the future, the race for quantum progress is happening now – and with so much more still to do. The groundwork we lay now will determine if we are able to fully realize its potential benefits for agriculture and food production, treatment of disease, materials, energy and more, while addressing its risks.
