An important milestone has been reached for our new state-of-the-art #datacentre development near #Frankfurt, with the urban development agreement now signed between Neu-Isenburg, Stadtwerke Neu-Isenburg GmbH and Goodman. The approximately 100MVA power capacity data centre to be developed on a regenerated #brownfield site, will make a significant contribution to both the digital infrastructure of the city as well as the municipality’s heating supply, with the waste heat generated being reused to heat nearby homes. Christof Prange, Head of Germany at Goodman, says: “This is the second data centre that we are developing in the Frankfurt region as part of Goodman’s global 5 GW powerbank. By revitalising the derelict site formerly used by the Frankfurter Rundschau newspaper, we are providing essential infrastructure for the digital economy and directly benefiting the local community through enabling the waste heat being used for heating purposes. Our special thanks go to the city and the municipal utilities for the excellent cooperation on this complex project.” Read more here: https://lnkd.in/dt2a6csv
