Exciting news for New Orleans musicians! City council has passed an ordinance to establish the first uniform minimum wage for performers at city-run events and festivals. Musicians will now earn at least $200 per hour, with larger acts receiving a flat rate of $2,000 per performance. This move aims to ensure fair pay, boost the local economy, and enhance the quality of life for our talented artists. The ordinance is set to take effect in January 2025. #METRONOME #MakingMusicMakeMoney #SupportLocalArtists ⚜️💸

This morning, our staff visited the NASA Michoud Assembly Facility to witness the departure of Artemis II, which is set to bring the first woman and person of color to the moon in 2025. The five Artemis missions represent an investment of $93 billion, with 90% of each rocket constructed at Michoud, solidifying New Orleans East as a critical hub for space exploration. Michoud employs more than 3,000 people in the Greater New Orleans region. ⚜️🚀
