Valuation-sensitive multi-asset class strategies, which shift allocations during extreme valuation environments, can help investors avoid bubbles and capitalize on dislocations. By dialing into three current market dynamics – relatively cheap non-U.S. equities, extreme dislocation among deep value stocks, and historically wide spreads between value and growth – we’re building portfolios with some of the highest forecasted relative and absolute returns we’ve ever seen. https://bit.ly/4eiSkmy

Efforts to mitigate the impacts of climate change are creating investment opportunities in the solutions and technologies needed to help us reduce reliance on emissions-intensive activities. Today, we are thrilled to announce the launch of GMO Horizons, a global equity strategy reflecting the view that the world economy is transitioning to a lower carbon future and that this process will create growth opportunities across all sectors. Horizons manages total emissions risk while investing in companies with substantial green revenues. We consider reported scope 1 direct emissions and GMO’s proprietary Indirect Emissions model, which measures the emissions generated throughout a company’s entire value chain. The green revenues in Horizons are derived from activities such as renewable and low-carbon energy, energy storage, material inputs for climate technologies, energy efficiency, and climate technologies, as well as in industries such as sustainable agriculture, water, and circular economy. We are excited to bring this new investment solution to GMO clients, which we believe offers the power and flexibility to achieve a variety of net-zero and sustainability objectives in addition to strong risk-adjusted returns.
