Let's start off 2024 with something super practical... three ways to use ChatGPT as part of your 2024 LinkedIn marketing strategy! Here they are: 💡 TURN THOUGHTS OR STORIES INTO TOPICS Many of the clients I work with, whether immigration attorneys, founders of companies in the global mobility space, etc., think they have "nothing interesting to share." I can assure you, this is NEVER true! During our coaching calls, we do a lot of what feels like free form talking but is actually helping them share stories from their careers and lives from which we then pull topics to turn into posts, blogs, etc. ChatGPT can help you do the same thing: write out a story about a memorable immigration client, a difficult transferee issue, your career journey and why you chose to work in your industry, etc. Then literally ask ChatGPT to pull topics out of it! 📝 CREATE INITIAL CONTENT DRAFTS If you already have topic ideas, or if you use the above strategy, you can then take two additional steps on ChatGPT to create initial drafts of LinkedIn posts, blogs, etc. First, prompt ChatGPT to create the kind of content you want, i.e. if you need a short-form LinkedIn post or long-form blog. Add any other instructions like the use of emojis, formatting, and even writing style (more on that below). Second, write what topic you'd like the content to be about. Remember, the more information you give ChatGPT, the more predictable the outcome will be. So don't JUST write a one-line topic idea... add more context and background info (even if it's unstructured) so that ChatGPT can produce the best outcome. And importantly, remember that is a FIRST DRAFT! Don't just copy / paste this and publish... make sure to review, edit, and add to it! 🎭 EDIT YOUR WRITING STYLE Lastly, you can use ChatGPT to edit your writing style, whether for already-created content or something that you just created with ChatGPT using the above two steps. You can simply copy / paste an entire post, or even existing blog, into ChatGPT, and prompt it to change the style. This is actually a great trick if you want to reuse "legal" content you've created for clients, e.g. in a memo, articles you've written for AILA or the ABA, etc. but make it appropriate for social media. You can also use this to rewrite sections of your website, LinkedIn profile and more. . . . Thoughts or questions? GMI CON 2023 was a success beyond even what even I expected, and for any immigration professional who missed it, I made tickets available for another week to get the recordings (link just below). 🎂 Day 2 of the conference was on my birthday, and this may sound dorky, but I had one of the best birthdays in a long time: I gave a presentation about how to succeed on LinkedIn, which I'm super passionate about, took a bite of my birthday cake live DURING that presentation, and then took a selfie with the cake and everyone on Zoom to then use as a LinkedIn post...this LinkedIn post lol! 😂 🚀 [Follow the link below to purchase tickets and get GMI CON 2023 recordings: https://lnkd.in/ev2BE-4C] 🎭 Day 2 started with a live, virtual improv workshop with none other than Rick Andrews, which was absolutely hilarious and fun, and taught us the value of making mistakes, saying "Yes, And" to even the craziest ideas, and not judging ourselves. 🎥 Following the improv workshop, we saw a brilliant presentation about how to create long-form content, and then repurpose it easily and efficiently into short-form content, with immigration YouTuber, coach and marketing consultant Maneesha Mukhi. 📈 I then shared a presentation about LinkedIn: how to optimize your profile, how to create high-performing content, how to maximize engagement, and new features that have been released in the past few months. 🤖 We ended with a stellar panel about what tech, tools and processes you can use to actually handle the new social media leads with Jacob Sapochnick and Jared Jaskot, two immigration attorneys that are super successful on social media AND have sophisticated tech stacks (from CRM to AI chatbot to texting apps and more) and sales funnels. . . .
