About us
Global Health Corps (GHC) is a leadership accelerator focused on building the next generation of global health leaders and mobilizing the movement for health equity worldwide. We are a diverse, global community united in the belief that health is a human right. We competitively recruit, select, and develop innovative, and talented emerging leaders with a diversity of skill sets and backgrounds, and place them in year-long paid fellowships in Malawi, Rwanda, Uganda, the United States, and Zambia. Our fellows advance health equity across 60 organizations -- including community-based and international non-profits as well as government ministries -- across a range of health issue areas. Throughout their fellowship year and into their careers, we provide continuous l professional training, community building, leadership development, and career mentorship to amplify the impact of our ever-growing network of young leaders. Since 2009, GHC has supported almost 1000 to transform health systems and raise their voices for social change. Our community gets stronger every year. Our team is growing! Please join us in giving a warm welcome to our newest team members Tiffany, Gina, and Erin 🌟 ✨Tiffany H., our Director of Finance & Operations, leverages her finance and ops skills to advance gender and health equity––and she’s a HUGE NFL fan 🏈 ✨Gina Rogers, MSW is joining as our Development Coordinator. When she isn’t whizzing through Salesforce and raising funds, she’s spending time outdoors, with her cats, or gaming 🎮 ✨Erin Gilbert joins us as our Grants Manager, bringing a sharp pen and gift for storytelling. Fun fact: when she’s not in her homebase of Atlanta, USA, you can find her cat sitting overseas to fuel her wanderlust (and love for cats!) 🐈⬛ They each bring a wealth of knowledge and unique experience to our work of supporting emerging health leaders. Welcome to the GHC community, ladies!

👏 Congrats to Global Health Corps on another amazing achievement! Their work is transforming health systems and building the next generation of leaders in #PublicHealth, and we're honored to support them as they continue to grow. 🩺
It’s been two years since our CEO Heather Anderson stood on stage at the Clinton Global Initiative — announcing a $1.8 million commitment to recruiting and training 100 emerging #PublicHealth leaders transforming health systems across the U.S. by 2025. We’re thrilled to be on track to meet this commitment! Big thanks to support from partners including Bloomberg Philanthropies, Rippleworks, and MacKenzie Scott who helped us launch our inaugural cohort in June 2023. We’re also grateful that Adtalem Global Education Foundation, Wagner Foundation , The Schooner Foundation, MCJ Amelior Foundation, and Texas Biomedical Research Institute joined us to launch a second cohort of 30 amazing fellows this past June. We’re so grateful to everyone who joined us last Friday in Washington, D.C. for “Shaping U.S. Health Leadership for a New Era at Home & Abroad.” Moderated by GHC alumna and board member Dr. Yvette Efevbera, the panel covered topics ranging from the need for diverse leaders in public and global health, to equitable vaccine distribution, to decolonizing health as a means to address health systems gaps. A huge thank you to our panel of health experts—Assistant Secretary Loyce Pace, David Walton, MD MPH, and alumna Maimunat Alex-Adeomi. It was energizing to watch guests carry on the conversation afterwards at the post-panel reception. Swipe through for highlights ⬇️
