We invest in bold ideas, helping grassroots organizations scale and deepen their impact to reach more children in need.
About us
Global Fund for Children partners to build a world where all children and youth enjoy equal resources and opportunities in society and live free from violence, discrimination, and exploitation. We do this by investing in innovative, grassroots organizations that provide children and youth with the resources to reach their full potential and advance their rights worldwide. In the fight for children’s rights, too many great ideas go unheard and unfunded. Global Fund for Children is here to change that. We discover grassroots organizations pursuing bold ideas, and provide the funding, coaching, and connections to give those ideas a chance to work. We take smart risks that others don’t, walking alongside our partners to help them develop and succeed, so that, together, we can build a future where all children and youth are safe, strong, and valued.

To address the root causes of problems facing children and youth, Global Fund for Children grassroots partners in the ARC initiative are learning how to listen to each other, themselves, and their communities. Supported by WE Trust and Seamont Foundation, ARC is currently centered on enabling stronger community- and youth-led action in Bangladesh, India, and Nepal. In the past, the ARC partners have worked on a variety of child-focused issues, often in line with the priorities of funders or their own organizational goals. Now the community, including children and youth, will decide what direction these partners take. This is community-owned action in practice. We Alokito Kori are proud partners in Bangladesh currently working on the CLCP approach encourages communities to take ownership of the challenges they face and to design, implement, and assess a response to these challenges.

// "I don't speak Maya, but I think in Maya." The Brave Girls Initiative is made up of ten #locally based organizations in Yucatán, Mexico, who represent some of #Mexico's rich cultural and linguistic #diversity. As this cohort develops its footprint as an initiative, it also explores what it means to be an '#Indigenous #girl' and the obstacles she may face not only in her community and/or country, but also in her own personal identity. #Indigenous populations in #Mexico face significant challenges to getting an #education, including linguistic barriers, restricted school access, and lower educational achievements compared to their non-Indigenous counterparts. #Mayan #girls are particularly affected, due to increased #gender discrimination and societal expectations and norms. “This initiative creates opportunity and new pathways to education so that Mayan girls and women reach their fullest potential – and in the process transform the narrative around gender justice in their community.” Learn more about the Brave Girls Initiative here: https://bit.ly/3SQ6NwM #BraveGirls #NiñasValientes
