🌐 Digitalisation of National Policies for #EUIntegration and #Interoperability from a Regional Perspective! The very pressing topics of digitalisation of national policies and interoperability was brought to ITP Prizren with the participation of civil servants of the WB that are involved firsthand in the EU integration process. With the valuable support of professor Goce Armenski, the regional workshop aimed to highlight the significant benefits of digitalising the EU accession and integration process by streamlining the process, improving data management, enhancing transparency, and engaging citizens by sharing best practices and tackling common challenges. Not to forget the crucial importance of interoperability on a national and regional level as well as with the EU institutions. 🇩🇪 The event is organised by GIZ with the support from Germany.

🌟 Throwback Tuesday! Digi Camp 2024 wrapped up in May after four days of innovation and collaborative teamwork. Around 40 changemakers from over 20 public institutions teamed up, focusing on combining human creativity with artificial intelligence to solve problems and create prototypes for Kosovo's future governance. 🇪🇺 🇽🇰 🇩🇪 Digi Camp 2024 was organized as part of a broader initiative co-funded by the European Union in Kosovo and Germany, implemented by GIZ in cooperation with the Strategic Planning Office at the Office of the Prime Minister of Kosovo. 🎥 Check out what participants had to say about their learning experience at the camp:

🌟 Successful ethics training for inspectorates! Recently, we conducted a comprehensive training session on the Code of Ethics for local and central level inspectorates. During the two-day training, the inspectors had the opportunity to learn the best practices from the courts regarding the code of ethics. By reinforcing ethical principles, we are not only enhancing the credibility and trust in our public institutions but also fostering a culture of ethical excellence that benefits our entire community as we move forward in our EU integration journey. 🇩🇪 This training is organised by the Office of the General Inspectorate and GIZ with the support from Germany.

🌐 Kosovo's first Organic Farming Software has been launched! The Organic Farm Records Management System (ORMS) software is designed for all farmers, companies, and collection points implementing organic standards, fulfilling the record-keeping requirements of these standards. This software aids agribusinesses in planning activities, measuring production efficiency, mitigating risks from losses, and making realistic business forecasts. By digitalizing farm management practices, it brings efficiency, accuracy, and sustainability to agriculture, paving the way for a more resilient and profitable future. 🇩🇪 This project was developed by ORGANIKA and GIZ with the support from Germany.

🌱 Looking for the local heroes and their ‘Act Green” moments This week, it was wonderful to meet some of the local partners from the climate and environment sector. More details from the recently activated campaign Mendo Gjelbër, Vepro Gjelbër (Think Green, Act Green) were shared and announced a new photography competition just ahead of summer break! The “Act Green” competition aims to shine a spotlight on the everyday heroes in our communities who are making a real difference in the fight against climate change. This hopefully also inspires others to contribute and be part of the solution. Stay tuned and find out how to join this competition via the Mendo Gjelbër, Vepro Gjelbër page. 🤝 A special moment at this evening was bidding farewell to our great colleague Stefan Mager, the manager of the project focused on waste management and circular economy, as he concludes his term at GIZ Kosovo. We will certainly look forward to keeping up the partnership and collaboration he built throughout the years.

Last week, the Demo Day event at ITP Prizren marked the end of the "Idea-to-Scale" programme's second cohort. The event showcased presentations from 11 startups, highlighting their innovative solutions, and brought together program supporters, partners, mentors, and esteemed guests. This programme is implemented by Makerspace Innovation Center Prizren at ITP Prizren under the Digital Transformation Center, supported Germnay through GIZ Kosovo, the Prizren Municipality, and Swiss EP Kosovo.
