We're going into PRIDE this year with a challenge: Calling all youth creators ages 13-24: show the world what makes you Proud To Be YOU with the Proud To Be Challenge, and you could see your creation honored and celebrated at our Rainbow Realm event July 14th at Meow Wolf Denver! Painters, poets, video creators, dancers, sculpters, graphic designers, etc -- we want to see how you use your art to share what makes you Proud To Be. It's Trans History Week, and if you're looking at this on a computer or smartphone (that's a joke unless someone knows how to access Linkedin via carrier pigeon), you can go ahead and thank trans computer engineer and researcher Lynn Conway for the privilege. Lynn's "About" section on Linkedin is fascinating and worth a read if you have time! And here's another reminder that trans youth across the nation are facing mounting legislation and descrimination that threatens their wellbeing. At Give Us The Floor, our sole focus is on giving LGBTQIA youth a safe space to get support, so they can have a future as bright as the Lynn Conways of the world.

Give Us the Floor is honored to announce we have been selected as one of the Morgan Stanley Alliance for Children's Mental Health Innovation Award winners for the program’s third cohort! As we continue to provide a safe resource for LGBTQIA youth in distress, this new partnership gives us the opportunity to also support youth on the EvolveME platform in becoming emotionally prepared for their future careers. In alignment with our focus of “by youth for youth,” all tasks provided by Give Us The Floor will feature youth sharing their perspectives and experiences. Read the full press release below.
