✅ Check financial copy for compliance with this gen AI app built with Writer! The app uses Palmyra, our family of transparent LLMs, to check copy against selected guidelines, highlight snippets, and display suggested text. It’s super easy to build using the Writer Framework, its AI module, and components like pagination and custom HTML. And you can deploy it with a single command! 📈 💻 Full code here: https://lnkd.in/gTvrnZvt 👉 Docs: https://lnkd.in/ggXyB-Df Comment and let me know what you’re building! #Python #AI

🌟 If you can describe it, you can build it — that's the promise of AI Studio from Writer. So...what can you build, exactly? We've kicked off a tutorial series to help make building with LLMs a lot more straightforward. Here's a great product use case based on real production grade usage: the release notes generator! This specific app helped our customer — a cloud provider — to transform chaotic GitLab update logs into clear, actionable HTML release notes — saving PMs literally dozens of hours every quarter each. 🚀✨ Here’s what makes it special: 💡Powerful data transformation: Starting with a messy CSV file, the app leverages Writer's Palmyra LLMs to perform summarization, cleanup, and categorization, converting chaos into structured order — with a click. 💡Interactive user experience: This is not a chat bot! You can build more intuitive UX using the Writer Framework. This app not only categorizes data into new features, caveats, and fixed issues, but also provides straightforward navigation and UX. 💡Customizable to the core: With the Writer Framework, this app is incredibly flexible. You can embed it directly on your site or download from Writer for later use. Behind this app lies the power of the Writer Framework, which enables fast development of Python web apps with a friendly drag-and-drop UI builder, and the Writer AI Studio, which enables a really easy way for, in this case, a PM with no LLM experience to build a production-grade, highly accurate and high quality AI application. ⭐️ Check out the tutorial: https://lnkd.in/gSyJDQyX

Last week a major tech company became the first significant employer to mention generative AI-fueled restructuring in their layoffs announcement. But they definitely will not be the last. We're laying off 1,800 people but will hire another 1,800 better suited to an AI-first future, the company essentially said. I think there's a SLEW of enterprise executives who'd love to accelerate the pace of internal AI innovation and employee productivity and wish they could do the same thing, and this is only the beginning of such restructuring announcements. But I'd like to propose an idea to these execs before they headline a layoff like this to be about doubling down on generative AI — ***Let everyone re-interview and re-structure their roles with AI before deciding to do a layoff.*** Make it a Manhattan Project, be deliberate about it, paint a vision of what your company becomes when everyone has successfully done it. Give people the tools and resources to make it happen (and actual DEDICATED TIME to learn and adapt their roles). And only THEN decide who and how you should restructure your workforce. It's not like the market is awash with knowledge workers highly skilled with how to use AI to get to 200% productivity. Yes, the skills that companies need in their employees is changing FAST. Yes, you need employees who can use AI to do their jobs. But what does that actually mean? Companies need creative systems thinkers, employees who can code up their own tools, employees who can do the work of 2-3 people in the pre-AI era. Employees who can conceive of new experiences for their customers that provide greater service at lower cost, fueled by AI. Employees who understand the weaknesses of the current generation of AI tools and can still work around them. Execs are going to start forcing the issue top-down if they don't start seeing the employees of the future show up. But they have a big role to play in building those employees. And it's going to be easier to do it from the inside. I'd hazard to guess that some of the people who got laid off last week would make for excellent AI-first employees for that second cohort that the company is going to go out and hire. People need to be given the chance, the time, and the tools.
