The meeting which was organized by the Deutsche Bundesbank was a valuable opportunity to discuss the current state of the economy. Last week, the first conference of German and American Mayors took place in NYC at One World Trade Center! 🗽 Our President & CEO Susanne Gellert had the honor of attending the conference, which was organized by the Embassy of Germany in Washington, D.C. and highlighted the vital exchange of almost 30 Mayors from German and U.S. cities on urban development, infrastructure, urban transportation, and smart city solutions 💡. During the event, German Ambassador to the United States Andreas Michaelis emphasized the importance of municipal connections, sharing best practices, and the significance of our cities' collaboration. New York City was represented by our Mayor Eric Adams and GACC NY Member Ruhl TecConsult. The 9th German-American Business Forum organized by the German American Chambers of Commerce took place in Hannover last week. With over 260 attendees, this annual conference fostered connections and insights between the U.S. and German business communities, paving the way for German companies to enter and expand into the U.S. market. The Forum kicked off with a warm welcome from Mark Tomkins (GACC Midwest - German American Chamber of Commerce of the Midwest, Inc.), Detlef Daues (IHK Hannover, Chair of Foreign Trade Committee), and Matthias Amberg (AHK USA Chairman). The opening panel, moderated by Dr. Christoph Schemionek (Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Washington, DC ), explored investment opportunities in the U.S. Workshop sessions covered best practices for a U.S. market entry, legal and tax requirements, success strategies in logistics, manufacturing, sales & marketing, and AI.
