July is Disability Pride Month, an opportunity to honor the history, achievements, experiences, and struggles of the disability community. GEICO is proud to spotlight our connection with Partners for Youth with Disabilities (PYD). Through this partnership, we have provided disability inclusion training for GEICO employees, collaborated on guest lectures for our company’s Employee Resource Groups, and more. Recently, McArthur S. ‘Mac’, GEICO’s Social Impact & Philanthropy Manager, was presented with PYD's Oswald Mondejar Innovation Award. This award recognizes those that creatively solve challenges affecting young people with disabilities. In 2021, Mac formed a partnership with PYD that has provided scholarships and expanded fellowships for college students with disabilities.
