Getting CDL licensed is an ongoing issue in our industry. The ACE Service Program is proven and effective at getting drivers on the road quickly, easily and safely. NPGA ACE is designed to assist in navigating ELDT’s red tape – providing quality instruction, getting your employees on the road faster at a fraction of the price, providing savings of up to $3,000 per driver. And by using NPGA ACE’s service, members will receive expert services in completing the regulatory requirements set by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). ACE and NPGA will serve as your Registered Training Provider (RTP).

We have lost a titan of our time. Mr. Bill Baxter was more than a mentor, colleague, and friend; he was an extraordinary human being whose impact touched countless lives. Many people don't fully grasp the depth of his character and contributions. I am eternally grateful for the seven years I had the privilege of knowing him. Just last month, I saw him at headquarters. He had carefully cut out an article about my hometown of Tarpon Springs from Southern Living. This small gesture perfectly encapsulated his thoughtful and caring nature. Bill had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel valued and seen, from the highest executive to the newest employee. His genuine kindness, even extending to remembering our wedding anniversaries, is a testament to the exceptional man he was. Below is a few of many things you probably don't know. Bill Baxter: A Knoxville Titan Bill Baxter is a prominent figure in Knoxville, Tennessee, whose impact extends far beyond his hometown. A successful businessman dedicated public servant, and astute investor, Baxter has left an indelible mark on the state and beyond. Business Acumen and Entrepreneurial Spirit Hailing from Knoxville, Baxter's roots run deep in the Tennessee Valley. His entrepreneurial spirit is evident in his role as Chairman of Holston Gases, a company providing industrial gases across 13 states. Mr. Baxter’s leadership has been instrumental in the company's growth and success.  Beyond his business ventures, Mr. Baxter's investment portfolio includes and not limited to notable properties such as the historic Wort Hotel in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, Million Dollar Cowboy Bar, Silver Dollar Bar, & The Million Dollar Steakhouse. His vision and resources have contributed to the revitalization of these iconic landmark. Public Service and Leadership Baxter's commitment to public service is equally impressive. He has served as the Commissioner of Economic and Community Development for the State of Tennessee and as Chairman of the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) Board of Directors. His tenure in these roles showcased his ability to drive economic growth, foster community development, and lead complex organizations.  Baxter's leadership at TVA was marked by a focus on operational excellence and fiscal responsibility. He played a pivotal role in the agency's transition to a new governance structure, positioning TVA for future success.  A Lasting Legacy Bill Baxter's accomplishments are a testament to his business acumen, leadership abilities, and dedication to his community. His contributions to the economic development of Tennessee and the broader region have been significant. As a Knoxville native, Baxter's impact on his hometown is particularly noteworthy, where he is recognized as a visionary and a role model. He was also chairman of United Way as well as other ventures. To the Baxter family - Onward and Upward I am Grateful Joe Baxter is just like his father!
