IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR TOMORROW: Due to the storm impacts in Gaston County, we are unable to use Gaston College facilities for the Development Roundtable tomorrow. We are diligently working to confirm a nearby location in hopes to continue this exciting event. If we are able to relocate the event, it will be within 0.5 to 4 miles from our original venue at Gaston College. The new location or decision to reschedule will be made as soon as possible. The update will be posted on our social media and website as soon as confirmed. We at the EDC hope everyone is safe and has safe travels this coming week.

On September 1st, Donny Hicks, Executive Director of the Economic Development Commission, celebrated his 40 year milestone as a Gaston County employee. Under Donny's leadership, Gaston County has recruited millions of dollars in foreign direct investment, created thousands of new jobs, assisted in the development of multiple business parks and more. Born and raised in Gaston County, Donny’s personal commitment to the community runs deep and is reflected in his professional achievements. He has been recognized with numerous awards during his tenure such as NCEDA’s President’s Award and two-time winner of Developer of the Year. Please join the staff at the EDC in honoring Donny and thanking him for his service to Gaston County.
