As an athlete, fueling your body is one of the most important things. Athletes can do all the training they want, but if they aren’t eating the right things, it can all go to waste. Active children should eat vitamins and minerals, protein, healthy fats, and carbohydrates to keep up with their bodies, per recent statements from sports nutrition experts. Each food group has its own benefits, such as protein repairing and growing muscles, carbohydrates refueling the body, and healthy fats reinforcing the body. The timing of everything matters, too. Athletes should try to eat a carb heavy meal 3-4 hours before their activity and aim to eat a post-game snack within 30-60 minutes after the activity ends. But it should also be noted that everyone is different and these are just baseline recommendations. As a parent, what are some types of foods that have helped your youth athlete stay fueled? #nutrition #food #youthathletes

Brent Clark ensured his daughter Caitlin gained the confidence in her shooting technique first before launching three point shots. Caitlin’s jump shot was carefully developed from years and years of practice. Now she thanks her Father for prioritizing @FormShooting first and foremost. Jeremy Baumann of Form Shooting explains into further detail about what we can learn here. ⤵️ “It’s vital for players of all ages around the world to understand the most important thing you can do is focus on your form from close range before you even think about 3-pointers There isn’t a single great shooter who began their ascent to consistency by chucking 3s. And highlight videos circulating fail to address this, so there’s a widening disconnect between what young players see and what they should actually be doing to improve.”
