As a trusted NOAA partner, we are proud to announce our NOAA NMITS IDIQ Task Order win to continue providing web creation, design, and support services to the Great Lakes Environmental Research Laboratory in Ann Arbor, Michigan. This new contract will extend the collaboration between GAMA-1 and NOAA, ensuring seamless support for GLERL’s web development needs from September 2024 through August 2025. The NOAA NESDIS Common Cloud Framework Independent Technical Review Team has been honored with the prestigious Outstanding Team of the Quarter award for the fourth quarter of Fiscal Year 2024. This recognition, signed by Heather Kilcoyne, Director, and Kathryn Shontz, Deputy Director, of the Office of Common Services for NOAA/NESDIS, acknowledges the team’s exemplary efforts and leadership in supporting the NCCF ITR. Key contributors to this achievement included Daniel Beall, PMP, Vice President of Operations at GAMA-1 Technologies, alongside fellow awardees Kumar Machado, Krishnan Narasimhan, Martin McHugh, David Ku, and Carlos Escaffi. Their collaboration provided critical guidance on artifacts and documentation, which was instrumental in the foundational review of the NCCF. Furthermore, their efforts helped teams formalize processes in alignment with the Department of Commerce's (DOC) Agile Project Management standards. Alesa S., GAMA-1’s Chief Operations Officer, commended the team's success, stating, "The outstanding work of our NCCF team, led by Dan Beall, in collaboration with NOAA/NESDIS, has been instrumental in setting the standard for cloud service operations and on-premise application migration. Meet Tyler Layman, who joined GAMA-1 about 18 months ago as a Project Accountant on our Finance team. With a career that spans from commodity trading to fine dining, Tyler brings a unique mix of experiences and skills, including data analytics, Power BI, and full-stack engineering. He holds a degree in Russian from Davidson College and a master's in finance from Georgetown University.   Tyler loves the flexibility of remote work at GAMA-1 and commends the professionalism of the Finance team. GAMA-1 has been awarded a five-year contract to provide IT system support services for the Pacific Marine Environmental Laboratory, a vital arm of NOAA's Office of Oceanic and Atmospheric Research. This task, part of the broader NOAA Mission IT Services program, will enable PMEL to continue its groundbreaking research on the global ocean and its complex interactions with Earth’s atmosphere, ecosystems, and climate. Leigh Ryan, PMP, Senior Director of Operations at GAMA-1, expressed her enthusiasm for this new endeavor: “We are excited to partner with PMEL and NOAA in their pursuit of understanding the world's oceans.
