The Stanford Sustainable Investment Group (SSIG) – a student-run investment advisory that works to develop capital solutions to sustainability challenges – delivered a deep and high-quality final presentation (and 60-page paper!) to us, their spring client partner, on their market analysis of investment options in the carbon, cold chain, and mobility sectors. In Galway’s quest to accelerate the sustainability transition, we are thrilled to partner with and support young people like the SSIG student members as they learn about and contribute to achieving triple bottom line results. The team’s engagement and deliverables were impressive, and we look forward following their work with other clients, as well as staying in touch about potential future opportunities with us. Thank you, Samir Chowdhury, Lena McEachern, Hannah Watkins, Mary Lee, and Dilan D., our own Maggie Nowlan, Alla Jezmir, Ben Fenton, and Joseph Matta for their work on this.

In Galway’s quest to deploy capital that accelerates the transition to sustainability, it’s important that we connect with others in the space. We appreciate Cleantech Leaders Climate Forum for serving a critical convening role. There’s no time to waste, and we can do more in partnership with others. #sustainableinvesting #cleantech
What a fantastic evening we had last week in DC! The ambiance was perfect and the attendance in the room felt just right. It allowed everyone to introduce themselves with depth, not just name and organization. Many were first-timers, emphasizing the importance of networking in the cleantech community in DC. It truly was a warm and friendly crowd. One thing that stood out was the refreshing candor and vulnerability of this group. Instead of sales pitches, there were honest discussions about challenges and even imposter syndrome. It was heartening to see intimate connections being made, with some even offering to help find job candidates. A shout out to our super hosts, Catherine McLean of Dylan Green and Jennifer Von Bismarck of Galway Sustainable Capital, for their invaluable contributions. They skillfully guided discussions, ensuring everyone had a chance to participate respectfully. In addition to being a super host, we want to extend a huge thank you to Jennifer Von Bismarck and Galway Sustainable Capital, Inc for their generous sponsorship! We are looking forward to our next gathering in DC! #CleantechCommunity #NetworkingEvent #DCNetworking David W. Aware Super's recent $50M investment in Galway will allow us to deploy even more capital to growth-stage projects of companies that are scaling sustainable solutions in energy, waste, food, and more. Many thanks to Macquarie Asset Management for enabling this co-investment, which is so well-aligned with our mission. #sustainableinvesting #growthcapital #energytransition
