Future Road Builders is a free pre-apprenticeship app, available to play on iOS and Android devices! A virtual pre-apprenticeship experience and career awareness tool, players of Future Road Builders will explore a virtual highway construction project and uncover the skills needed to be an apprentice Carpenter, Concrete Finisher, Skilled Laborer, Heavy Equipment Operator, and Inspector. Once a player successfully earns the Get to Work badge and a trade-specific badge, they'll be ready to apply to one of several apprenticeship programs available in western Pennsylvania! Badges accrued while playing Future Road Builders are industry-recognized badges and will get you one step closer to building a career in heavy/highway construction! Future Road Builders is brought to you by the Constructors Association of Western Pennsylvania (CAWP).

Last Friday, 11/1, Future Road Builders showcased the Apprenticeship Readiness Course at the 2024 Build On Event hosted by the Builders Guild of Western Pennsylvania, and approximately 2,800 students from area school districts and career & technical centers attended! Representatives from the Laborers, Operating Engineers, Carpenters, and Cement Masons provided students with hands-on demonstrations, #apprenticeship, and career information, and CAWP (our parent organization) members Mascaro Construction Company, LP, Mosites Construction and Development, Swank Construction Company, and PJ Dick, Trumbull and Lindy Group also participated in the event, speaking with students about construction careers. Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro addressed the group of students about the importance of construction workers to the economy and ensuring the future construction workforce!
