There were so many instances where I wanted to stop, to quit, to give up. My mind tried to tempt me to stop jogging and to start walking, but I knew I was getting closer and closer to my goal if I kept going! ✅ Friends, similar to our job search and career journeys, it can be so very tempting to give up and stop, 🛑 But, if we allow our minds to have positive affirmations and tell ourselves that we can do it, then we will act with more intention and grace than ever before. 🧡 And, surround yourself with folks who believe in you no matter what. 🧡 I would not have done this today if it was not for the support of my family, friends, and you all here. 😀 👉 Are you "in tune" with your goals? Surround yourself with people who fulPHILL you. 👇 Why? Because those folks truly believe in you no matter what. My Dad is one of my biggest fans and cheerleaders. I have learned a ton about business strategy and entrepreneurship under his wing. When I was younger, he would invite me to visit him and listen to some of his business meetings. As an Executive Leader in the filtration and medical device industries, my Dad ALWAYS placed people first. This was evident when I would listen to him in business meetings and see how he treated his employees. With respect, empathy, and integrity every single day, no matter how challenging or thriving business was. Dad would make the time to visit and greet each employee before heading to his office to work for the day. He would tell all his people, "thank you," and demonstrate the epitomes of who a leader should be. He understood the ins and outs of the entire business function and what each employee did in their unique roles. What a role model to look up to and to learn from! If it wasn't for him, then: 1. I would not truly understand the importance of Integrity, People Leadership, Business Operations, Finance, and Customer Service. ✅ 2. I would not be so successful in my career in HR, continuously finding ways to streamline processes in Recruitment, Talent Management, Talent Attraction, and Candidate Experience. ✅ 3. Give yourself "Grace," my friends! 👇 It is important to make sure we allow ourselves to slow down, to rest, reflect, and prepare for what is ahead in our lives and careers. When it seems like we are going 100 miles a minute, going in many different directions, When our minds are racing and rushing, and the anxiety kicks in, It's important that we adjust and fine-tune our mindset and give ourselves some time and energy to allow grace to come into fruition. Grace Davis, our dog, has been such an important reminder of this in my family household. 🐶 And, as I was walking her this morning in our neighborhood, I reflected on how she has been such a wonderful supporter and part of our family. Friends, surround yourself with people, pets, and others who help you to tune into your own grace and positivity. ✅ You'll be more motivated to accomplish the goals you want to achieve and "tune into" your best self! 👉 How do you give yourself grace in your career and life?
