Updates

  • Recently, our Executive Director shared an update to our members regarding a staffing update and welcomed our newest addition to the team - Lilli! "We're thrilled to announce some exciting staffing updates at the Fruita Area Chamber of Commerce. Our team is now composed of myself, Kayla Bowers, as Executive Director, and Allie Daniel, who has recently been promoted to Assistant Director. While we are currently experiencing staff shortages in the office, we are committed to providing excellent service and support to our members. We are proud to continue our tradition of hosting revolving internships, partnering with college and high school students to provide valuable career introductions. As we look forward to welcoming our Fall interns, we're excited to introduce our summer intern, Lilli, who is completing her senior year of high school. Lilly will be assisting with events such as the Fruita Farmers Market, and we are confident she will be a great addition to our team. We appreciate your patience as we navigate these changes and our staffing restructure. Your support helps us continue to grow and serve our community effectively. Thank you for being part of our journey!" Join us in congratulating Allie on her recent promotion and welcoming Lilli to the team!

  • Today is National Mom & Pop Business Owners Day, and we want to celebrate the moms, pops, and all the business owners in between! Small business has a special place in our hearts here at the Fruita Chamber. We understand the trials and tribulations of owning a business and raising a family, especially when those are happening simultaneously. Here is Fruita, our roots are deep, and we know very well the connection that comes from raising a family and growing up in the business world. Many of the business owners that you know and love gained their expertise and passion for entrepreneurship from their own mothers and fathers. We understand the deep connection that business and family can have, and today we want to celebrate that! Make it a point today to stop in and show some love to the families with businesses in our community! #ShopSmall #fruitachamber #supportlocal #fruitacolorado #supportlocalbusiness #momandpopshop #nationalmomandpopshopday

  • Today is a very special day at the Fruita Chamber, and it called for a team lunch at Munchies Pizza and Deli!!! Today, Kayla Stack has been with the Fruita Chamber for a full year! Kayla joined the FACC staff last year as an Executive Assistant intern. Once her internship ended, Kayla was then hired on as our Programs & Events Coordinator. Kayla manages our FACC programs, such as Women in Business and Veterans in Business. She also plans large events, such as our upcoming Annual Women's Conference, and our smaller events, like WTF luncheons, Business After Hours, and A Place at the Table, just to name a few. Kayla's energetic personality, determination, and attention to detail are all key factors that contribute to the positive energy she brings into the office, and the amazing work she produces. The FACC would not be all it is without Kayla Stack... or her dog Cappuccino! Happy 1-year chamber-anniversary, Kayla! #fruitachamber #supportstudents #supportlocal #congratultions #supportyourteam
