When asked about his experience working here and his role in crafting our Nantucket rocking chair, Lyonel shared his enthusiasm: "I enjoy working at Fresh Start because of our humble approach, free from hot-headedness." He added, "As I work on the chair, my keen supervision enhances my professional knowledge and understanding of our processes." • Last Week Fresh Start, Capital Workforce Partners and Liberty Bank - CT hosted a collaborative financial literacy session for our employees and students hosted by Pamela Days-Luketich, Vice President of Community Development/Outreach. This 90-minute informational event shared tips and important knowledge needed for a strong foundation of financial wellness. The audience was engaged and asked many questions about financial stability. We are grateful for the partnership with Liberty Bank and Capital Workforce Partners. We look forward to hosting many more events like this one in the future. Thank you to all the employees and students who participated! Here is a photo captured after the event with a few of the students and employees who attended.

President / CEO Fresh Start Pallet Products

I have had the absolute pleasure getting to know Frances McGrath over the past few months and watching the final pieces fall into place for the opening of her social enterprise. Fresh Start Pallet Products Inc Start is so excited for our friend Frances at Reframe: A Dry Spot located on North Street in Willimantic. Frances has worked incredibly hard and has thoughtfully created a fun and creative place to hang out with friends or family. Her vision of enjoying nonalcoholic craft beverages is a reality! Fresh Start designed, created and delivered the bar used at Reframe. Her unique design features a butcher block top and upcycled oak wood that were once pews at a local church! Stop by and visit Frances and celebrate with her the opening of her new business! https://lnkd.in/emN64kAC

After completing their semester of learning and gaining there OSHA10 and CPR certification it was time to celebrate. Here are some photos from graduation! A big shout out to Capital Workforce Partners and to all the students who dedicated themselves to learning!

  • Fresh Start Pallet Products deeply appreciates the support of the William and Alice Mortensen Foundation. Their generous donation has had a significant impact on our mission to rebuild lives through education and employment in the carpentry field. Thanks to their support, we were able to enhance both our shop floor and the Fresh Start Academy’s air quality with the purchase of 3 JET fine dust air filters and a Laguana HEPA filtered dust collection system. Thank you to the William and Alice Mortensen Foundation for your support and dedication to nonprofits in the Hartford County.
