Private equity firm GreenPeak Venture Partners owns PickleRage, which started franchising last year and is scheduled to open its first corporate locations soon in Florida, Michigan, Maryland and New Jersey. PickleRage is a sister company to First National Realty Partners under GreenPeak Venture Partners' private equity portfolio. Red Bank, New Jersey-based First National Realty specializes in commercial estate investments with over $2 billion in assets under management. “Having First National Realty behind us gives us a distinct advantage because, as you know, a lot of it in this space is getting good real estate deals and finding the best locations in a tight market,” said Eric O’Connor, vice president of franchise development at PickleRage. https://lnkd.in/g74nMCUu

Dirty soda franchisors are making their bid for the ever-popular beverage market share. The drink is already popular in the mountain states, where many members of the Mormon Church enjoy the soda with flavored syrups and cream as an alternative to alcohol or coffee. Following up on the Franchise Times 2023 Deal of the Year, awarded to The Larry H. Miller Company’s acquisition of a majority stake in the dirty soda brand Swig from Savory Fund. The brand has expanded to 70 units from less than 50 in early 2023. In spite of increasing competition in this segment, including emerging brands Quench It and SodaRush, Swig isn’t deterred. “We are the OG. We invented this category,” interim CEO Alex Dunn said. “You’re gonna see us maintaining our lead in terms of being a leader in the space.
