World's Largest Image Sensor: A Groundbreaking Collaboration by Sphere Entertainment, STMicroelectronics, and Forza Silicon. #SphereVegas #sensors #imaging #cmos #imagesensors #semiconductor
Sphere Entertainment Co. and ST developed the world’s largest image sensor. How did our collaboration begin? What are the features of our custom image sensor, and how does it serve Sphere’s Big Sky camera system? Imagine a movie experience where the screen melts away, transporting you directly into the heart of the action. This immersive feat is now a reality at Sphere, a next-generation entertainment medium in Las Vegas that measures 111 meters tall and 157 meters wide and features a 16K x 16K resolution LED display – the highest resolution LED screen on Earth. 🔍 Discover more on the #STBlog: http://spkl.io/6040f6L6C Image credits © Sphere Entertainment Co. #SphereVegas #sensors #imaging
Rounding out our technology spotlight is our work with 3D stacked single-photon avalanche diode (SPAD) sensors with the following features: large, medium and small SPAD arrays, extreme high speed histogramming, ~40,000 frames per second and an up to 5.6 Gbps CML serial interface.
