Two years ago, the SBTi approved our roadmap to reach net-zero CO2 emissions in 2045 with two intermediate steps. Back then, we were the 1st French company and the 1st global automotive company to receive this certification. Because CO2 neutrality is at the heart of our strategy, because our roadmap is solid, and because we’re already making progress. Our motto: use less, use better, use longer ⤵️ #FORVIA #sustainability #sustainablemobility

Why the auto industry? If you’re interviewing at FORVIA, we will probably ask you this. What Monique and Xue replied will help you come up with the perfect answer. Last week, these two engineers talked about Women in Engineering with our host Joy FANG. Relying on their own career path and experience, they debunked preconceived ideas, shared tips with young women in engineering, and explained what women can bring to a team of engineers. Many thanks to all three of them for this inspiring FORVIA Talks! What topic do you want us to tackle in our next episode?

When seat comfort becomes a science! We conducted research with over 8,000 consumers. And this is what we found out. It all began when we started exploring the influence of seating design on driver alertness, and proved how big it was. This led to extensive research to come up with a science-based approach. Of course, since we are at the intersection of seating, engineering and anatomy, data science and wellness, we needed experts from all these fields. For example, we mapped the relationship between seating position and indicators of well-being such as blood pressure and flow 🩸, body temperature 🌡, and muscle stiffness. This research resulted in innovations like our All-in-One solution. It senses whether the posture of drivers and passengers could lead to back pain, thanks to a series of advanced sensor cells placed inside the seat. 1️⃣ They produce real-time data – on weight distribution or asymmetric posture for example – which is then interpreted by an algorithm. 2️⃣ The whole system then activates corrective actions by alerting the driver or directly inflating lumbar supports, adjusting seat position or activating massage functions. Today, our teams develop and test All-In-One in one of our seating R&D sites in Brières, France!

The car industry is now entering a new phase. A phase where Electronics in vehicles is booming, reshaping our industry at a pace never seen before. Electronic components will make up to 35% of an EV’s car value by 2030. Today, they only account for 15% of ICE vehicles value. 👉 What’s pushing this trend? 👉 How does car connectivity change usages and cars value? 👉 How is it reshaping the automotive’s value chain, and making new business models emerge? We’ve tried to answer all these questions in this analysis. To rise to the challenge, collaboration is key. It will help define new standards and develop functionalities. This is what we did with our Faurecia Aptoide, building the number 1 Apps store platform for connected cars, alongside apps developers and automakers. It also means a fantastic opportunity for our teams to keep driving innovation. Enjoy the read! https://lnkd.in/erWQiTif

The Foenix H2 was back at #LeMans24! 🔥 But this time, it wasn’t just on display. As the supplier of its hydrogen tank, we were proud to see it take to the track 🏁 That’s right! For the first time ever, the French GT designed, manufactured, and developed by Solution F - a GCK Group subsidiary - ran alongside other hydrogen-powered cars. Over the past 12 months, Foenix H2 has evolved significantly to become a real race car. To achieve the targeted engine power of 450 kW (612 hp), new developments have been made, all validated on the test bench. And it is now proof that a car running on hydrogen can be as powerful (and spectacular!) as its gasoline-powered counterparts. That’s what the 200,000 spectators must have thought 😉 Le Mans once again serving as a technological laboratory 👊 #FORVIA #hydrogencar
