We are back at home after the best trade show on the planet! The American Cheese Society National Conference is da (cheese) bomb. There is no other trade show I have ever attended that is populated with such an incredibly diverse set of people with so much in common. The vibe is amazing! Everyone is welcoming and friendly and there to do the same thing...celebrate the work and people and food that they love. Here's a story that is the perfect encapsulation of the show: Our flight out was at 615 AM on Saturday, and Eric Rupert and I called a Lyft. They were slow to arrive, and although it was an airport ride with two passengers, the driver in the large 4 door truck said he could only fit one suitcase. When we told him we had 6 (#tradeshowlife), he drove off without saying a word. There was a car next to us, waiting for the Lyft guy to get out of the way. They rolled down the window, AND OFFERED US A RIDE TO THE AIRPORT! Who was driving the car? President of Vermont Creamery David Stearle. That's ACS for you. You should be there in Sacramento next year.
