About us
We exist to drive lasting social change. We view problems through a lens of humanity, evidence, and possibility. Our work is to discover what is needed and uncover what is possible and create solutions that shape a better tomorrow. We apply evidence-based strategies and breakthrough creativity to promote health and well-being for all, to shape effective and inclusive institutions, and build resilient communities. If you’re a thinker, innovator, learner, or leader, and want to make a real difference, we should talk. Fors Marsh is a place for change-makers from all walks of life. Our benefits care for the whole person, not just the professional. To ensure every voice is heard, we founded the Driving Inclusion and Valuing Equity (DIVE) Committee, Racial Equity Team, and Affinity Groups, and sponsor an annual Indigenous Internship Program. Our B Corporation certification represents our commitment to accountability, transparency, and equity. We are intentional about pursuing work and building partnerships that balance people, purpose, and planet. If you’re looking for bigger thinking and bigger impact, you’ve come to the right place.

Aging is a natural part of life, but it doesn't have to mean giving up things you love. September is Healthy Aging Month, which brings a good reminder that there are ways to prevent injuries and prepare for changes in mobility to maintain a healthy and independent lifestyle. Since 2016, we have worked with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)'s Division of Injury Prevention through various programs to help older adults age safely. In 2020, we worked with CDC to develop, launch, and disseminate the Still Going Strong campaign, which educates older adults, and their caregivers, about common injury risk factors. This campaign, through empowering and motivational messaging and imagery, reminds them that they can continue to engage in activities they love to stay mobile, connected, and healthy. Our approach turned something that sometimes feels inevitable into something older adults, and their caregivers, can take into their own hands. Learn more about the importance of healthy aging in our latest Q&A blog with Anna Jaffee, our Director of Public Health Campaigns > https://lnkd.in/eQQP2E8w #HealthyAging #OlderAdults #FallPrevention #HealthCommunication

#Naloxone is a lifesaving medication that can reverse an overdose from opioids and is crucial to have in supporting recovery. Through our Stop Overdose campaigns with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, we launched a series of billboards, social media posts, and print ads aimed to empower individuals to carry naloxone and be ready to act in emergencies. By supporting naloxone access and education, we aim to build a network of care that extends beyond treatment to make a lasting social impact. Learn how embracing harm reduction strategies as a shared social responsibility is vital to recovery. https://lnkd.in/evwsDykj #RecoveryMonth #CDC #Recovery #SUD #PublicHealth

How did we use fact-based storytelling and bilingual messaging to facilitate honest conversations and encourage action with this five-year campaign? See more on our website.
The Power to Protect Case Study by Fors Marsh reminded parents and caregivers that vaccines have the power to protect against preventable disease. The conversation created a fresh reminder of the importance of the vaccine schedule. Take a look at how the Florida Department of Health decided to act with a bilingual public information campaign aimed at parents and healthcare professionals: https://ow.ly/cY8S50TtsGK #VaccineAwareness #PublicHealth #HealthCampaign #DiseasePrevention #HealthCommunication

The path to recovery is as unique as the person who walks it. This #RecoveryMonth, we share our Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Stop Overdose campaigns to support the CDC's mission to prevent overdoses and guide people to the treatment and support they need. We lead with empathy and use research to understand people's unique behaviors, needs, and barriers to recovery. Explore how to meet people where they are in areas of harm reduction, substance use, and stigma around treatment and recovery. https://lnkd.in/eNVBNjcA #CDC #Recovery #SUD #PublicHealth

Last week our own Ben Garthwaite was at the White House presenting insights from our Recovery Friendly Workplaces: Preliminary Findings from a Human Resources Needs Assessment. The research shows that HR professionals face profound challenges when creating safe and productive environments for employees in recovery. Read the recap on how we, along with partners like Office of National Drug Control Policy and Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) are applying data, human connection and empathy to advance SUD support systems. https://lnkd.in/eQwEt9nj #NationalRecoveryMonth #SUD #RecoveryFriendlyWorkplaces #SeriouslyHuman

We highly recommend finding Taylor Dimsdale if you'll be at #climateweeknyc!
I’m on my way to New York for another #ClimateWeekNYC. This one arrives just as Fors Marsh and our partners at the George Mason Center for Climate Change Communication are getting ready to launch the Climate Resilience Insights and Survey Project (aka CRISP). It will offer a unique look at the risks Americans are most concerned about, what they most want protected, and the actions they want the government to take to increase resilience. If that sounds interesting, come find me! https://lnkd.in/e_KYEqck #climaterisk #climateresilience #climateadaptation
