PROTIP: if you are addressing the Crowdstrike driver update problem it is simpler to use Windows Recovery mode than Safe Mode. Safe Mode requires an administrative credential that WinRE does not - though both methods do still require physical interaction with affected computers. 1. You need your bitlocker key if your computer is configured with that 2. Boot into Recovery (WinRE) mode and enter your bitlocker key 3. You will be presented with a command prompt at X:\ where you should 4. enter C:\ and then cd to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\Crowdstrike 5. enter del C-00000291*.sys to remove the driver files The you can reboot your computer and Crowdstrike will automatically download the corrected update. And a reminder, if you aren’t using it - turn it off. Good luck.
