IT'S A TAKEOVER! Join the Food Bank and our friends at the Madison County Farm Bureau as they take over Madison County Distillery on November 10 from 12:00 - 6:00pm. 🍻 Partial proceeds from the evening will benefit our efforts to support the 1 in 8 neighbors experiencing food insecurity right here at home. The Food Bank is excited to partner with our friends at the Jon Diaz Community Center for a Coat & Food Giveaway on Saturday, November 23, from 10:00am - 12:00pm! 🍏 Children will receive new, unworn coats, and the Food Bank will be providing food care packages to families as well. 💛 To register your household for this event, or to donate new winter coats and meals to local families, visit https://lnkd.in/gcE4SEbC! FRESH! 🥦🍄 Last fiscal year, the Food Bank distributed $17,994 in CNY Health Bucks, a program that supports low-income households in purchasing fresh, #NewYorkGrown produce during the summer Farmers' Market season! These ‘bucks’ help broaden access to fruits and veggies, encouraging individuals and families to make nutritious food choices that benefit their minds, bodies, and budgets. CNY Health Bucks also help to build relationships between our neighbors and local farmers, creating opportunities for nutrition education and trusted connections!

Trunk or Treat!! 🍭 Thanks to our hosts at Page Trucking, friends at Nucor Corporation in Auburn, and incredible neighbors like YOU, 1,146 pounds of non-perishable food items are making their way to the Food Bank to serve our communities! Last Friday, Page Trucking hosted a great trunk-or-treat event to benefit our mission of ending hunger in Central New York, the North Country, and the Mohawk Valley!

DIFFERENCE-MAKERS 💛🍏 The Food Bank was proud to present several individuals and organizations with Hunger Hero Awards this fall! These folks have brought a range of experiences, perspectives, and compassion to each corner of our 11-county service area. We are so grateful for the opportunity to spotlight and celebrate these everyday heroes who help to provide our neighbors with essential resources, and they do so tirelessly! Shoutout to our friends at The Cheesecake Factory for donating 9️⃣ 3️⃣ 3️⃣ pounds of peanut butter to the Food Bank through their partnership with Feeding America!! 🤩 Now through July 29, 2025, for every slice of Triple Berry Bliss Cheesecake The Cheesecake Factory sells, they will donate 25 cents to Feeding America with a portion supporting our work in Central New York, the North Country, and the Mohawk Valley! 🍰 Satisfy your sweet tooth and help to feed neighbors all in one go!

Today's the Day!! Wegmans Food Markets' Together Against Hunger campaign is back in stores now through November 30. 🤝 Donate $2, $3, or $5 at the register - or round your purchase up to the nearest dollar. Proceeds will be split to benefit our Food Bank's hunger-relief efforts, as well as those of the Rescue Mission Alliance of Syracuse and The Salvation Army Syracuse Area Services. 💛🍏 Visit fbcny.org/events for more info!

Here's a little #TriviaTuesday action for you...after the Food Bank's expansion, our distribution center now accommodates 108,000 square feet of space for food sorting, packing, and storage! 🤩 This includes dry goods racking, as well as extended cooler and freezer spaces, all of which allowed us to distribute over 22.2 million pounds of food to neighbors last fiscal year. 🙌 Learn more about our updated facility at fbcny.org/expansion!
