🚀 We're super pumped about Firebase's new SDK that lets you securely integrate with the @Gemini API through Vertex AI on the client side. In our last video, we demoed the GenAI chat app we built in FlutterFlow using this SDK. In this video, we talk about how we built it! Here's a highlight of some features in FlutterFlow that we used for this template: 💎 Component parameters & data types: The template leverages data types to make it easy to configure the different parameters for the Gemini model. And these data types are passed into components, making it scalable to use in other projects as well. 💻 Custom code: With a little bit of custom code, that we integrate into the FlutterFlow Action Flow Editor, we're able to easily call Gemini via the Firebase Vertex AI SDK. 🎤 Image Upload & Audio Recording Actions: FlutterFlow has built-in actions to upload images and record audio. We use both of these in the template to make our chat bot multi-modal. 🔥 Firebase Integration: FlutterFlow is already deeply integrated with Firebase, making it easy to connect our Firebase project and enable things like Authentication and Firebase Cloud Storage. ⏹️ Flex widget: A new widget we've recently added made it super easy to make this template responsive. Clone it yourself on FlutterFlow Marketplace, and stay tuned for Part 3 where we explain how we integrated audio and image upload!
