What's the story with inventory? 🏠 Active inventory, or the number of houses currently available for sale on the market, has been on a steady climb over the past year. While that does make it a little more challenging on sellers, buyers can rejoice in a greater selection of homes to choose from. Combine that with a slower market, buyers can take their time to find a property they love, rather than compromising for something and moving quickly to beat out the competition. While more options on the market haven’t resulted in a significant price reduction overall, the pace of appreciation has slowed, helping buyers feel confident in the price they are paying today. Of course, different markets and price tiers may have different stories, so it’s important to take a dive into your specific market. Take a look in your local area at active inventory.
