La dolce vita: exploring Italy by creating art. Fourteen FIU Art Art History Department students had an unforgettable two weeks this summer as they studied with Professor David Chang in Italy. From Rome to Venice (and many other cities), the students had the opportunity to grow their knowledge of centuries-old painting techniques, meet artists and immerse themselves in rich Italian culture. Congratulations to Isadora Rangel '10 for being nominated as a 2024 Pulitzer Prize Finalist in Editorial Writing. Born in Brazil, she studied at @fiucaplin and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism. Isadora is currently an editorial writer for the Miami Herald with a focus on opinion journalism for the digital age, working in the most interesting state for political coverage in the city of Miami.
