Happy Halloween! Yesterday was full of spooky fun at our Family Emergency Shelter 🎃 The kiddos went trick-or-treating with the help of our wonderful staff, followed by a birthday party complete with crafts, games, and cake to celebrate all the October birthdays! We hope everyone has a safe and fun Halloween👻

Thank you to BankProv for their $5,000 donation and sponsorship of this year's Annual Breakfast! We had the pleasure of connecting with their team earlier this month and taking them on a tour of some of our services here in Manchester, including our two Emergency Shelters and Food Pantry. Community partnerships like this are crucial to the success of our mission to prevent and break the cycle of homelessness in New Hampshire.

Thank you, Temple Adath Yeshurun of Manchester (https://taynh.org), for organizing the annual Religious Response to Hunger again this year! The food drive collected 4,500 pounds of food to be donated to the Families in Transition Food Pantry.     Participating organizations included - Brookside Congregational Church, First Congregational Church of Manchester, First Presbyterian Church, Grace Episcopal Church, Longmeadow Congregational Church UCC, St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, Temple Israel and Holy Catholic Trinity Church, and Whole Foods Market.   The donations were sorted and put away, thanks to the help of NH Healthy Families!

Venison tacos 🌮🍽 were served for dinner last night at our Adult Emergency Shelter, thanks to Sportsman Channel and Comcast. The Hunt.Fish.Feed. program taps into underutilized food resources, like game meat, to feed those struggling with hunger across the United States. So far, they have served more than 38,000 meals nationwide and even prepped meals to bring over to our Family Emergency Shelter!
