This month, team members from our Vineland Branch volunteered their time at Vineland Soup Kitchen, located in Cumberland County. The soup kitchen is a part of Spirit & Truth Ministries, whose mission is to provide food assistance to the low-income, food insecure, and homeless in Vineland, NJ. Vineland Soup Kitchen provides over 3,300 meals a month to those in need, and we're proud of our First Harvest team members for supporting this cause and embodying our credit union's "people helping people" philosophy! 🧡

Since the inception of the Federal Credit Union Act of 1934, credit unions have been influential in the lives of the members we serve and the communities we are a part of. The credit union movement was originally born out of financial necessity and continues its impact today through community and collaboration. In 2023, the "People Helping People" philosophy helped provide over 140 million credit union members with $23 billion in direct benefits. We are proud to work alongside our credit union peers to spread this philosophy throughout our own South Jersey region and provide inclusive banking solutions for all our First Harvest members.

We want to congratulate our six recipients of the 2024 First Harvest Scholarship Program! Each recipient received a $2,000 scholarship to help cover the costs they will face in their pursuit of higher learning.
