👏 What an incredible evening at FintechWomen: Gen AI & Beyond, Fintech's Influence Across Industries! 👏 The room represented who we are - students and professionals across a range of experience and interests- and our virtual attendees were just as engaged! The atmosphere was vibrant, with a lot of smart discussions about the impact of #GenAI and #fintech across various sectors. The energy in the room was palpable, and the feedback from participants showed just how valuable the event was, from insightful conversations to meaningful #networking. We thank our partners: Suffolk University - Sawyer Business School MCS Group | Your Specialist Recruitment Consultancy Novus Laurus and the team that helped us: Mark DiRocco Kimberley Zak and student volunteers including Madison Johnson Aphisara (Belle) Patanakarun Franziska Greiner Privilege Magoba We thank our speakers and all of you that attended - together all of you have enriched our community Key Topics Covered: - The evolution of Fintech and the industry's transformation over the past decade. - AI's role in financial services, the risks and opportunities it brings. - Real stories from Flywire showcasing the influence of fintech in other industries. Takeaways from the Event: 📈 Fintech has evolved beyond its beginnings as support or supplement to financial services; it’s now a fundamental part of every industry. Keynote and panel discussions with Kimberly Monty Holzel, Sukanya Soderland, Emily DeMelo: 🤖 AI presents both opportunities and challenges—it brings efficiency and opens doors for new solutions, but also requires careful handling of compliance, ethics, and risk. 🌎 With #healthcare and #martech as examples, their intersection with fintech offers opportunity to leverage that #innovation. 🚧Companies adopting these innovations have similar challenges - risk management, need for process redesign and complex regulatory requirements. 💼 Young professionals were encouraged to take advantage of the opportunities in fintech - their fresh perspectives are crucial in solving new challenges and driving innovation. Case study with Flywire: Sarah King Jen Bale Peter Butterfield introduced the company's mission, vision, and core offerings viz. digital payment solutions for complex industries like healthcare, education, travel, and B2B. 🔍The case study challenge asked the audience to consider "the next big thing" for Flywire-exploring new growth opportunities in line with their capabilities and understanding potential risks. Let’s Keep the Momentum Going!
