Our CEO, Cameron Minges, represented us at the World Credit Union Conference this week — speaking on a panel about the importance of credit unions working together to elevate our brands and industry. Thanks, Cam, for being an advocate for the Financial Center team and credit unions around the world!
Our Credit Union is respected locally and recognized globally. This week, I had the privilege of speaking on a panel at the World Council of Credit Unions (WOCCU) conference in Boston on "Valuing Global Credit Union Engagement." It was an honor to share the stage with industry leaders Billy Doyle from Dundalk Credit Union and Mike Reuter, CFRE, CUDE from the World Foundation for Credit Unions, moderated by J. Kevin Ryan, board member of the World Foundation of Credit Unions. Our discussion emphasized the importance of elevating our credit union brand to reflect global engagement. By learning from credit unions worldwide, we can share tactics and successes that come together to grow our industry’s reputation on a larger stage. We also focused on the significance of staff and board education. Exposure to global best practices expands our team's knowledge and helps us continue to be better, faster, and easier places to bank. Lastly, we discussed how a strong, values-led culture and purpose can attract and retain top talent, driving our mission both locally and globally. Telling Financial Center's story is one of the best parts of my job and I appreciate the opportunity to be on the same stage with these legends. #WCUC2024
