What a difference 11 days makes! 🏗️ Progress Report: Construction of the Transportation Education Center at St. Louis Community College is fully underway - look at all that steel! The Project Team has made a lot of progress in a short amount of time. >> New Project Completion Alert! << North County Fire & Rescue Fire Protection District (NCFR) recently constructed two new prototype engine houses to strengthen fire and emergency services in north St. Louis County, Missouri. Engine House No. 2 (EH2) replaced an abandoned service and filling station that was a blight on the neighborhood. Orienting the new building with drive-through apparatus bays parallel to the main road allows a compact site to: 1️⃣ accommodate the small-but-mighty engine house design and 2️⃣ provide a safe environment for firefighter paramedics EH2 embodies many AIA design excellence principles including equitable communities, economy and well-being, thereby supporting project value funded by the public, creating benefit to occupants and neighbors, and reinforcing positive outcomes for the community. We had a blast at the NENA Conference (NENA: The 9-1-1 Association) in Orlando! Two of our Public Safety leaders, Raymond Lee and joshua n. mandell, shared how FGMA prioritizes telecommunicators in dispatch center designs. We took in industry technology and innovations, including the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the emergency communications environment. We also caught up with Jason Nettles, MS, ENP, CMCP, Executive Director at Central County Emergency 9-1-1, and Alan Wells, Executive Director at St. Francois County Joint Communications Center. It was fantastic to reconnect with old friends, clients and vendors as well as make new connections. Ledgeview leveled up! To address the town’s increasing needs, we conducted a detailed assessment for the public works facility. Following a successful referendum, we designed a new facility to keep up with their growing town.
