There’s something special about summertime in Festival Country. Whether it’s a night of dancing to live music under the open sky or a hot summer day splashing at a water park, summer is when our parks, amphitheaters and downtowns come to life with music, festivals and fun. Festival Country is the perfect destination to create unforgettable memories with family and friends. Here are a few summer activities that show why our county got the name Festival Country: https://lnkd.in/g3T694p4 #festcountryin

Did you know tourism supports 3,365 jobs and generates $80.3 million in tax revenue each year? If the tourism industry didn’t exist and wasn’t generating tax revenue, the average household would have to pay $635 more each year in taxes to maintain the same level of services. One way we connect with the people in our communities isn't only by giving grants to build new attractions, but also by hosting special events! Today we hosted Chalk the Block during Ethos Celebration of Arts and had the chance to connect with the community and see all their artistic creations. Congratulations to our 2024 Chalk the Block winners and thank you to everyone who participated, visited, or voted! #festcountryin

Being involved in our communities is one of our greatest priorities. We do that by giving grants to support local organizations, sponsoring concerts and events, and much more. In 2023, we awarded $144,500 in grant dollars. This summer and fall there are five concert series, four of which we sponsor. We sponsored and gave grants to the Franklin Summer Concert Series, Greenwood Summer Concert Series, Bargersville Summer Concert Series, and The Picnic Concert Series at Mallow Run Winery. For more information about the concerts happening in our county, click the link to read more: https://lnkd.in/gPQHekcZ #festcountryin
