Fellows Fund is delighted to introduce our inaugural Biology Fellow, Dr. Kristin Gleitsman, who joins our esteemed community of fellows. Dr. Gleitsman brings with her nearly two decades of experience in leading R&D teams in the diagnostics and life sciences sector. Currently serving as the VP of Discovery Research at Veracyte, Inc., a leading global diagnostics company, she has been instrumental in advancing cutting-edge technologies in the field of life sciences. During her tenure at Veracyte, Dr. Gleitsman has played pivotal roles in the development of groundbreaking diagnostic assays, including the first FDA-approved liquid biopsy test, demonstrating her commitment to pushing the boundaries of scientific discovery. Prior to her time at Veracyte, she spent almost six years at Guardant Health, where she spearheaded the growth of the oncology technology development team and contributed to the development of transformative diagnostic solutions. Dr. Gleitsman's academic journey is equally impressive, with a PhD in Chemistry from Caltech and a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Biochemistry from Stanford University. Her research focus on quantitative biophysical chemistry has provided her with a deep understanding of the intricate structure and function of biological macromolecules. Her appointment as a fellow at Fellows Fund underscores our dedication to supporting and nurturing talent at the forefront of life sciences and AI-driven innovations. Dr. Gleitsman's expertise will undoubtedly enhance our efforts in advancing the intersection of life sciences and technology.
